Frequently Asked Questions About Meadowlark Learning Kindergarten
When does Meadowlark Learning Kindergarten launch?
Preorders open June 14, 2026, and the first orders ship by August 15, 2026—in time for the start of the homeschool year.
Is Meadowlark Learning Kindergarten secular or faith-based?
Meadowlark is fully secular—no scripture or religious framing, and no ideological content woven in. Our goal is to be welcoming to every family who chooses us, and to focus on rigorous academics, social-emotional learning, and kindness.
What is the Science of Reading, and how does Meadowlark use it?
The Science of Reading is decades of research showing how children's brains actually learn to read. It emphasizes structured, systematic phonics instruction and connecting sounds to letters in a clear, explicit order.
Meadowlark Kindergarten introduces letters in the SATPIN sequence and uses Orton-Gillingham-aligned multisensory practice—sight, sound, and movement together—so reading feels natural and clear.
What is included in the Language Arts bundle?
Meadowlark Learning's Kindergarten Language Arts comes with the following components: Lesson Books A and B (the heart of the course), the Cut & Play Pack (cut-and-play materials, letter cards, heart word cards, and multi-sensory games), eight beautifully illustrated team readers, language adventure cards, letter tiles, and a magnetic dry erase tray.
What is included in the Math bundle?
Meadowlark Learning's Kindergarten Math comes with Lesson Books A and B, math mats, Number Sense cards, and a manipulative set that lasts through Kindergarten and 1st Grade.
Do I have to teach 5 days a week?
Lessons are built to be flexible across 3, 4, and 5-day school weeks, with guidance on how to fit it into your family's rhythm without falling behind schedule.
Each lesson includes Simplify and Expand options so you can match the day, the child, and the moment.
How long does each lesson take?
Most Kindergarten lessons take 30 minutes or less. At this age, your child's cues are the best timer.
What if I have a struggling reader, a sensitive child, or a neurodivergent child?
The same multisensory, Orton-Gillingham-aligned approach that supports children with dyslexia is built into every lesson—and works beautifully for every learner.
The lessons are short, the Simplify options reduce overwhelm, and the built-in social-emotional learning gives every child language for what they're feeling.
Will it be available in print and PDF?
Yes. All Kindergarten resources will be available as high-quality printed materials shipped to your door and as a digital PDF downloads. Like with Preschool, digital PDF downloads can be added to physical purchases for only $10.
What's coming after Kindergarten?
First Grade is in development and will follow Kindergarten. Our long-term plan is to build a complete, cohesive curriculum through the elementary years—so families who start with Preschool can confidently continue with Meadowlark Learning all the way through.
