Is it really the unicorn it sounds like?

Children deserve a curriculum that presents math in a researched-based way, whether in a classroom or at home. This curriculum doesn’t rush the students, but gently guides towards big understandings and builds a foundation that will continue for all of their schooling. 

With Meadowlark Math, children will learn math in a way that builds a strong foundation. The learning will happen as children explore deep mathematical content through research-based approaches. They will be encouraged to explore, be curious, have fun, build connection to their parents and nature, and use representations and manipulatives to build understanding in a deep way. This is the curriculum I have been looking for. I have started and stopped many because I know they are not good enough for my children’s brains. Meadowlark is different.

I can't express enough how much we absolutely LOVE Meadowlark Kindergarten! I am being 100% completely honest, I was out looking for other curriculums that are tailored for my child he is partly 40% kinesthetic 40% visual 10% auditory this was the one, he loves it so much and I do as well. We are on our third week its going amazing we got the bundle and it really is open and go . It makes it seem like we are playing but my son has retained quite a bit of number sense we do 4 lessons per week of LA & mathematics and the letter sounds from previous learning . Definitely would recommend getting the meadowlark preschool if you're child does not know their sounds before starting this. This curriculum really built on what we have learned previously and we are excited to see the growth later as we keep on doing it! Overall happy and hoping for 1st grade to come out because we would definitely purchase !

We have loved Meadowlark K so far! We’re only three weeks in, but we’re already seeing such a positive difference. The fun and games portion has really helped my daughter enjoy learning and look forward to our lessons.

She has previously given a lot of pushback when it comes to any kind of formal learning, but we haven’t experienced that with Meadowlark. The lessons are engaging and feel much more like play than traditional schoolwork.

As a parent, I also love how easy it is to use. It’s truly open-and-go, with helpful prompts that tell you what to say, how to present the lesson, and even why you’re doing each activity. It takes so much of the guesswork out of teaching.

We’re only three weeks in, but we’re already so happy we chose Meadowlark and are really looking forward to the rest of the year!

So far so good, I think it’s a beautiful curriculum. Very engaging, lots of games and activities to get the kids to want to learn and the illustrations are adorable! I do wish there were readers included that a kindergartener could read and I also wish the front and back cover of the course books were laminated because they are pretty flimsy. So those are my only complaints so far. My daughter loves Pip! She has adhd and I can get her to focus for the most part which is shocking and makes me really happy!

I am so incredibly impressed at the quality of this curriculum as well as how much you get for the price. Like some, I was a bit apprehensive of the jump in price from preschool to Kinder. I was sold when I saw the samples but truly floored when the box arrived and I saw just HOW MUCH you actually get. My goodness, that box was HEAVY! Preschool is the size of one of the four binders not to mention all the manipulatives you get with the Kinder bundle as well. It is absolutely worth buying the printed version vs printing yourself unless you are a masochist lol. The quality is fantastic!

We have just started Week 3. Both my child and I continue to enjoy our Meadowlark lessons. Best of all, the knowledge is sticking in a way it never did with prior methods. I almost cried when he was able to read his first two words already (sat & at). It was a huge confidence booster for him as well. This is the same child who could not recall a single letter or letter sound when we started Preschool back in March despite trying for years. We accelerated Preschool and were able to seamlessly transition into Kinder.

Customer service is 5 stars. I had reached out regarding purchasing the pdf for preschool but my email was lost in the void. When I followed up, Maggie not only responded quickly but gifted me the pdf free of charge as an apology.

The Facebook group is lovely as well. I enjoy being part of the little community and seeing the fun extras/twists everyone does with their lessons.

If your child has already done TK before starting Kindergarten then this curriculum will feel like a redo of their TK work. It's super cute and everything but it's a lot of script reading/bells and whistles without that much DOING on the child's part. And the handwriting book wants them to start with tracing lines but my child is needing to practice writing letters and words. The ELA portion is very... light and complicated at the same time. It's weird. Like reading 3 pages of instructions for the teacher, then reading a little miniature book to her and then having her color a picture. I'm just not sure how I feel about that. It doesn't seem to be accomplishing that much.

Will it be available in print and PDF?

Yes. All Kindergarten resources will be available as high-quality printed materials shipped to your door and as a digital PDF downloads. Like with Preschool, digital PDF downloads can be added to physical purchases for only $10.

What's coming after Kindergarten?

First Grade is in development and will follow Kindergarten. Our long-term plan is to build a complete, cohesive curriculum through the elementary years—so families who start with Preschool can confidently continue with Meadowlark Learning all the way through.
